We recognise that some young people require additional support to meet the success criteria. We use a variety of supports to differentiate. We give choice within activities and provide differing levels of scaffolding within lessons. We have high aspirations for all young people. Our lessons are student focussed.
Differentiated support happens in a variety of ways:
Teacher support
Peer support
Scaffolds
Differentiated challenge, e.g. via choices within activities
Balance of familiar and less familiar content
Effective use of Support for Learning Assistants to provide targeted interventions and whole class support
Confidential information and individual learning plans are used effectively
