The CLPL Streams framework in our school is not just about professional growth; it's about supporting a culture of excellence and innovation, whilst driving forward our whole school improvement priorities.

By ensuring that our professional development opportunities are aligned with the broader goals and vision of our school, we create a cohesive and unified approach to learning and teaching. This alignment ensures that each professional development activity contributes directly to our shared mission of whole school improvement.

Our CLPL strategy is crafted to support our school's key improvement priorities: learning, teaching and assessment; wellbeing, equality and inclusion; and leadership of learning (2024-2027).

The Streams programme will consist of three distinct streams, each directly linked to our school improvement priorities.

Over a three-year cycle, staff will be able to choose a different stream, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded professional development experience. This is not necessary but an interesting facet.

Each stream will allow for independent development as well as staff led sessions on various topics. These should feed directly into staff annual PRDs and GTCS Professional Updates.

The four-stage CLPL review cycle, provides a comprehensive framework for continuous professional growth. By systematically aligning CLPL activities with the GTCS standards, staff can ensure their practices are effective, reflective, and responsive to whole school improvement planning.

We have allocated a notional 6 hours of professional development and enquiry, aimed directly at addressing improvement priorities.

This focussed programme of CLPL will align with our improvement priorities and allow for personalisation within professional learning.
